After qualifying as a Speech and Language Therapist in 1993 I worked for a while in South Wales with both adults and children. In 1995 I moved back to the Midlands, where I had lived as a child, to work in Worcester specialising in speech and language therapy with children.
I was lucky enough to get a job specialising with deaf children, although I continued to carry a general caseload of children with lots of different communication difficulties as well.
In 1999 I got married and over the next few years had our three wonderful children. I began developing my management skills at work and continuing to develop my skills with assessment, therapy and in training others.
In August 2013 I set up in independent practice. I provide an enhanced speech and language therapy service in local schools and nurseries, funded by the schools and settings, and for individual children funded by their parents.
